Context
At Orus, launching new insurance products is our #1 growth driver, but also our #1 bottleneck. Unlocking capacity with insurers and reinsurers is critical to accelerating our roadmap.
As Strategic Account Executive, you will play a central role in this mission. Reporting directly to the COO and co-founder, you will lead high-level engagements with insurers, reinsurers and large brokers across Europe, driving partnerships that enable Orus to launch new products faster and at scale.
This is not a standard sales role: your work directly shapes Orus’ future product portfolio and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop relationships with C-level executives at insurers, reinsurers, and brokers across Europe
- Lead complex, multi-million euro negotiations from prospecting to closing
- Collaborate closely with Orus’s C-suite, insurance, legal, product, and ops teams to craft tailored proposals and ensure commercial success
- Represent Orus in high-stakes environments: industry events, private lunches, roundtables, and boardrooms
- Build and refine Orus’s playbook for strategic insurance partnerships
Who You Are
- Proven track record in complex enterprise sales with long sales cycles (7-figure+ deals)
- Experienced in engaging and closing at C-level / board level, ideally with CAC 40 or equivalent clients
- Thrive in client-facing environments : frequent business meals, industry events, and executive forums energize you
- Structured and disciplined: you master enterprise sales methodologies and bring strong business acumen
- Ambitious, resilient, and driven by measurable impact
- Knowledge of the insurance / reinsurance ecosystem is a plus, but the ability to ramp quickly in new complex industries matters more
- Willing to travel across Europe (approx. once a month)
